Not Dead Yet

On my hands and knees grasping for precious breath

Pain ravaging my body fighting off what could be death

Sweet mixed with blood drips down my face

As I am staring at a fallen warrior who must not die in disgrace

Standing behind me anticipating the final blow

Is an enemy that I wish I had never known

He has taken more than I will ever admit

It is for that I will never give in to quit

Breathing in… breathing out

In my head there is no doubt

I may be down on my knees freezing and wet

But he should have great fear, because I am not dead yet
